For the filling, I used brown sugar instead of cane sugar, and I stewed the apples with four tablespoons of butter and a few large spoonfuls of flour. You’ll want the consistency of caramel. When I smelled it, I thought it smelled like an apple spice candle. When I brought it to a NOW, there was only one slice left. So, I’d say it was a hit! That’s all from me! Happy Baking!
