A lot of NOW dinners are Italian. So I have the urge to make Italian desserts, including tiramisu. If you don’t know what tiramisu is, here’s a basic rundown: Tiramisu is a no-bake Italian dessert created in the late 1960s or early 1970s in Treviso, Italy, by Alba di Pillo and the pastry chef Roberto Linguanotto. It is ladyfingers soaked in the coffee of your choice with a whip cream, mascarpone cheese, and egg layer sprinkled with cocoa powder. I use a tiramisu recipe in the book, Bake Anime by Emily J. Bushman. The recipe, in my opinion, is fairly easy and simple, but very fun to make. The NOW dinner I made this for was lasagna, my favorite meal. So, I made a special tiramisu. I made a chocolate tiramisu sprinkled with powdered sugar. It was delicious, fun, and most of all, brought new, happy memories to the congregation. Well, that’s all from me. Happy baking!
Miss Memories.
